Ennery (57) The park of the cemetry and funeral home
The creation of the park located on the urban fringe between the city and the cemetry takes place on a plot that is 400 m long and 30 m wide. This linear morphology induces an adaptation of the composition's principle. Therefore, the path to the cemetry is divided in a succession of five different landscape series. The path meanders through an orchad, some shrubblike flowerbeds, a green bowl, some hills, a splash fountain and a garden to rest. After the garden, the funeral home seems like a vertical entrance leading to the cemetry.
The connections between the old cemetry and the new one are redefined to offer a unity in the path. In keeping with this path, the introduction of plants renewed the old and the new cemetry and brought the idea of the park in the site.
